Eligibility: Residents of and Workers in West Baton Rouge Parish
Adults (18+)
- Adult cards are issued to people age 18 and up who live or work in West Baton Rouge Parish.
- A valid Louisiana driver’s license or identification card with current address is required when applying for a new card, a replacement card, or when renewing an expired card.
- People who work in West Baton Rouge Parish must present a current work ID or check stub.
- Applicants that do not have valid Louisiana identification should be referred to the Director.
Juveniles
- Juvenile cards are issued to children from birth through age 17 provided the parent/guardian assumes responsibility for materials checked out
- .Child must live in the Parish.
- The parent/guardian must have a valid Louisiana driver’s license or identification card with current address for proof of identity when applying for their child’s new card, replacement card, or when renewing an expired card.
Eligibility: Residents of Pointe Coupee or Iberville Parish
Adults (18+)
Applicants from these parishes may obtain a West Baton Rouge Parish library card by presenting both of the following items:

- Permission slip from their parish library.
- Valid Louisiana driver’s license or identification card with current address.
Juveniles
Children who do not live in West Baton Rouge Parish are not eligible for a card.
Eligibility: Guest Passes
Just Visiting the Library?
You may use our patron computer workstations with a guest pass! You’ll need your driver’s license showing that you don’t live in West Baton Rouge parish to receive a guest pass. If you reside in West Baton Rouge parish, we will ask that you sign up for a library card.
