How to Write TV: The Work Together Workshop with TV Writer Keion Jackson

March 16th @ 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Have you ever watched your favorite TV show and said, “Hey, I can write that!” Well, you can write that. And 3x Emmy-nominated TV writer Keion Jackson is visiting the West Baton Rouge Parish Library to teach you how! Students of all ages are invited to attend a free, fun-filled writing workshop that’ll show kids what goes into writing an episode of TV! Keion has written for lots of children’s shows, including “Sesame
Street” and “Karma’s World”. Most recently, Keion worked as Co-Executive Producer and Senior Story Editor of the new Netflix series “Dee and Friends in Oz”. In the “Work Together Workshop”, everyone will work together to write an imaginary episode of television. The only thing you need to bring is your imagination! Whether you want to be a writer when you grow up, or you just think the workshop sounds  interesting, come join in on the fun!
The workshop also includes:
• TV Trivia and Prizes!
• How to be a Creative Professional Q&A!
Keion is proud to be from Port Allen, Louisiana—born and raised! It is his favorite place in the world.
